British Columbia (BC) the westernmost province in Canada is bordered by the Pacific coast to the west and by the U.S. state of Alaska on the northwest. Yukon and Northwest Territories are directly at the north while Alberta is to the east, and Washington, Idaho, and Montana is at the south.

Tourist Spots

Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is located on Vancouver’s North Shore, only fifteen minutes from downtown Vancouver and 4,100 feet (1,200 m) into the sky. You can enjoy activities like paragliding, picnics, sleigh rides and skiing.

Stanley Park

Vancouver wouldn’t have been what it is today without its splendid parks and gardens. Stanley Park is one of the largest parks in North America. The most fascinating attraction within the park is Vancouver Aquarium housing more than 8000 creatures including Beluga whales to jellies to jacks.

Pacific Rim

You cannot miss the splendid Pacific Coast of Canada if you are in British Columbia. The magnificent Pacific Rim National Park is the only national park on Vancouver Island, giving protection to rain forests with amazing marine environment.


Royal British Columbia Museum

Through three unique galleries, the Royal British Columbia Museum showcases the human and natural history of British Columbia, and features periodic exhibitions of international renown.

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is one of seven national parks in British Columbia. It protects a portion of the Columbia Mountains and also contains the Rogers Pass National Historic Centre. It contains extensively glaciated areas.

Climate

As a result of Kuroshio Current, also known as the Japan Current, which crosses the North Pacific Ocean Coastal British Columbia enjoys a mild, rainy oceanic climate. Winters can be severe in the Interior and the North.
