Universities in Malaysia are mainly categorized into private and public universities. Additionally, many foreign universities have applied to set up their campuses in Malaysia to offer their foreign degrees in the country at a much lower cost.
As of 2013, Malaysia has 67 universities (20 public, 37 private and 10 foreign universities) as well as 400+ private colleges and private “university colleges”.
