About Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) was established on 2nd October, 1972, by an act of State Legislature. This is the first technological university in India established in Andhra Pradesh with head quarters at Hyderabad. The main objective of the university is to give emphasis on training & research in engineering and applied sciences.
In the last four decades JNTU has produced highly professional and competitive engineers by infusing by educating the students by appropriate skills essential for a quickly changing industrial scenario.

School of Continuing and Distance Education, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University offers postgraduate and undergraduate programs in various fields of science, management, engineering and technology. The school is run on a self - supporting basis and provides opportunity for career advancement through professional up-gradation to working personnel The SCDE is headed by a full time Director, supported by teaching and non teaching staff, including administrative and computer staff.
