Management of Business Finance (MBF)

Introduction

Management of Business Finance (MBF) is a full time post graduate program of 2 years duration. The Indian Institute of Finance (IIF) offers this program which has 33 papers out of 36 with core finance focus. Total No. of Credits are 108. MBF is treated equivalent program to MBA Finance in industry for the purpose of employment and higher research. This program serves the purpose to create competent human resources for the service of finance sector of the country.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate students from any recognized Indian or Foreign University with minimum 60% marks can apply for this program. A concession of 5% marks is offered to those belonging to SC / ST / OBC category candidates. Special reservation is offered to female candidates.

Admission Procedure

Prospective candidates need to posses following minimum percentage or GPS in any one of the qualifying examination:

Those qualifies in any one of the written test are called for Group Discussion (GD) and Interview

Exemption from Written Test

Graduation / Post Graduation marks [> 85 %] for Engineering / Technical / Science streams & [> 70 %] for Commerce & Arts streams); NRIs, Top three University Toppers, First College Topper & Celebreties in Sports, Arts, Music, Dance & Modelling etc.

Candidates exempted from written test are required to take GD and Interview.

Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Foreign / Corporate sponsored candidates are exempted from written test. However, all such candidates are required to appear for GD and interview.

Indian Institute of Finance (IIF) offers admission to some women candidates, even if their comparative GPS is relatively low but above the minimum cut off point. The final offer of admission depends on past academic record, GPS and performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Interview.

Top 3 University Position Holders & College Topper (with Distinction) are exempted from Written Test & are provided with Rs. 20,000 scholarship per semester.
