Placements at IIIT Hyderabad

Dataquest a reputed publication of Indian IT industry rated IIIT Hyderabad as “Top 10 Engineering Colleges in India” in its 2006 annual survey.

Placement constitutes an integral part of IIIT Hyderabad mission. The institute invites the entrepreneurs and corporate to recruit the IT manpower. Listed below are some of the proposed initiatives for the placement season 2008:

• Common Placement Test (CPT)
• 10-to-15-day placement season (a very brief placement season, unlike in current and past years)
• Mini career fairs each day (= this means around 10 employers each day)
• All recruiters were treated on par
• Students were allowed two offers each

Placement Season 20007

The placement season 2007 was of 41 days and conducted in three phases.

Phase one and three of the placement season consisted only of weekends – Saturdays and Sundays – in order to avoid disrupting classes.

Phase two coincided with the 15-day Sankranti vacation, and saw placement initiatives every day.
