Programs in Computer Science & Information Technology
IIITM-K offers doctoral and masters program in computer science and information technology. Details of these programs are given below:
PhD in Computer Science and Information Technology in IIITM -K
IIITM-K offer research in Computer Science. The major areas in Computer Science include:

Master of Science in Information Technology in IIITM -K
IIITM-K offer masters program in information technology. The minimum qualification required here is Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Applications (MCA) with minimum score of 60 percentage marks or CGPA of above 6.5 out of 10 points, in the qualifying examination.

PGDIT Program in IIITM-K
PGDIT programme is a two-year postgraduate programme. The course includes foundation courses in IT, soft skills, personality and leadership development programmes, advanced courses like Embedded System, Software Engineering, Web Technology, Artificial Intelligence and so on.

Programs in Computational Sciences in IIITM -K
IIITM-K offers doctoral program, masters program and diploma program under Computational Sciences.
Master of Science in Computational Science in IIITM -K
The Master’s programme in Computational Sciences is open to students with a first class (equivalent to a 6.5/ 10 GPA) Bachelor’s degree in any science discipline. Students shall be selected through an entrance examination conducted by Institute under the supervision of CUSAT for both science/engineering and general aptitude. Reservation of seats for SC/ST, OBC etc. is applicable as per government rules. The final selection of the candidates is done through an interview from the short listed candidates of written test. The total intake of the student is 40.

Masters Program in Informatics in IIITM -K
i) M. Phil – Ecological Informatics:
M. Phil-EI is a one-year full time program and adopts a credit system. This program emphasizes using Information technology to address ecological issues. It prepares students for a meaningful research career in ecological/ environmental science.

ii)Â MSc. in Geoinformatics:
The Geoinformatics program offered by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala, provide students with both the breadth and depth of knowledge in Geoinformatics required for solving real-world problems. The duration of the programme is 2 years and the courses are carefully designed to attain both scientific and technical aspects that enable them to grow into competent, seasoned professionals.
Diploma Program in Informatics in IIITM -K
The duration of the programme is one year and the courses are carefully designed to attain both technical and managerial aspects, which enable them to grow into competent professionals. As a part of the course the candidates are required to undertake a project work in the final semester in any allied departments, Organizations within or outside the state including leading R&D organizations of 6 credits. The programme also includes lab sessions, field trips, visits and managerial skills development.

Diploma Program in e-Governence in IIITM -K
The one-year full-time post Graduate Program in e-Governance offered by the Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management –Kerala (IIITM-K) and the Institute of Management in Government (IMG), aims at high standards in Information Technology, Management and Governance. The programme focuses on capacity building in e-Governance through developing foundations in IT, Management, Government Process Reengineering and Change Management.

IIITM Kerala Course Fees
For the four semester MS IT programme, the fee is Rs. 1, 50, 000/- to be paid in four installments of Rs.37, 500/- each at the beginning of a semester. There is a refundable caution deposit of Rs.5500/- and a Medical Coverage fee for the whole programme of Rs.2000/- to be paid along with the first installment of fees at the beginning of the course. The fee does not cover expenditure for course materials, or boarding and lodging etc.
