Spread over about 100 acres of land, IIM Kozhikode has one of the most picturesque and oxy-rich campuses in the country. The world class infrastructure includes hostel facilities for both boys and girls, a rich library and excellent computing facilities.
IIM Kozhikode Hostel
The institute has 10 well designed hostels capable of accommodating about 600 students. TV and washing machines are provided in every hostel. Facilities for making STD/ISD calls are located within the hostels. IIM K encourages all round development of students and has concentrated on building superior sports facilities. Other facilities include gymnasium and basic medical facilities.
All the hostels rooms have been provided with a LAN connection to cater to the computing needs of the students. Women have separate hostel facilities.
IIM Kozhikode Library
A fully automated modern Library & Information Centre (LIC) is an excellent learning resource centre catering to the ever growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of the students, faculty, and researchers. The LIC has one of the finest collections of latest management publications. The LIC has acquired over 13000 books. The books are classified according to the UDC Scheme of Library Classification.
LIC’s Web based Catalogue (Web OPAC) is available in the Institute LAN. The LIC subscribes to around 320 print and over 740 electronic journals, along with a massive set of over 3500 aggregated full-text contents of e-journals, both Indian and foreign.The Audio-Visual Unit in the LIC hosts about 215 educational videos, covering the entire range of disciplines in management
Computing System and Classrooms
There are more than 250 High End personal computers connected over the campus LAN under some of the latest Network Operating Systems. The classrooms at IIMK provide conducive environment needed for learning. IIM K uses tools for Technology Enhanced Learning. Considering the above, all the classrooms at IIMK are equipped with all the modern teaching aids needed to support technology enhanced learning. All the classrooms are thus equipped with computers, multimedia projectors and motorized screens, OHPs, Wireless Presenters and other audio-visual tools.
