PitchCafe 3.0, an annual event held at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi, aims to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst young innovators. The event will be held on Saturday, September 3, and will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their promising ideas and early-stage startups.
During the event, more than 200 teams will be vying for the chance to win a prize pool totaling over Rs 5,00,000. Ideas and proposals will go through three rounds of screening — idea abstraction screening, elevator pitch, and a final pitching round. Out of 200 teams, as many as 64 will qualify for the second round and make an elevator pitch. Following this, 16 teams will pitch their ideas to the investors on September 3rd. The judges of the final round include serial investors and renowned entrepreneurs; all highly respected personalities in their individual domains.
One of the distinguished speakers at the event was Sandeep Jain, CEO, and co-founder of Geeks for Geeks. Other notable speakers included Dhruv Rana (incubation head of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies), Anshul Rustagi, Arindam Basu (investors from Basic Roots), and Neeraj Gulati (head of entrepreneurship board in Delhi Govt.).
PitchCafe 3.0 is an exciting opportunity for investors to get involved with early-stage startups that have immense potential for future growth. For startups, it helps narrow down the gap between dreams and their implementation in real time. Talks and seminars by successful entrepreneurs and renowned experts will help young entrepreneurs to move from proof of concept of ideas to developing prototypes. With a day full of freshly brewed ideas, pitching and competitions, discussions, and fun-filled activities, PitchCafe 3.0 promises to be a great event.
