Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan - Introduction

The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, an autonomous organization, was established on 15th October, 1970 by Government of India with the objective of developing, propagating, and encouraging Sanskrit learning and teaching in and around the country. The organization imparts various educational programs in Sanskrit and is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. It effectively implements the various recommendations of government constituted Sanskrit Commission and imparts education in Sanskrit through its various affiliated institutions.

The organization carries the deemed university status and is well-equipped with state-of-the-art-facilities like Library, Computer Center, Modern Conference Room, Committee Room, Guest Room, Sales Center, Canteen etc. It runs 23 Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas/ Shodh Sansthan under the financial assistance scheme of the government for the promotion of traditional Sanskrit learning and research. It has various nodal centers spread across the country in all the important cities like Allahabad, Jammu, Puri, Guruvayoor, Jaipur, Lucknow, Sringeri, Garli, Bhopal, Mumbai.
