In an effort to make a name for itself in the digital education tools market, streaming platform YouTube has announced a stripped-down version of its site tailored specifically for use in schools and colleges.

In addition to this, YouTube is introducing Player for Education and Courses – a feature that will allow video creators to offer online classes for a fee or free of charge.

YouTube is reportedly introducing new tools that will enable creators to charge viewers for educational videos. According to reports, the new features will include the ability to create paid “courses” consisting of video playlists.

It is interesting that YouTube is rolling out this paid feature in light of the fact that many people use the platform for free educational content. However, it seems that the company is banking on the fact that people are willing to pay for ad-free, convenient access to video courses.

The report said that the courses will be available in the US and South Korea in beta form. It will be interesting to see how YouTube’s new business model fares in these markets.

YouTube is licensing its new service, Player for Education, to education technology companies. This will allow them to filter YouTube’s enormous video library with different restrictions, according to a Bloomberg report. The service won’t run advertisements or show video recommendations. Initially, YouTube is working with EDpuzzle Inc., Purdue University Global Inc., and Google Classroom.

YouTube isn’t new to the educational market, as the platform has been reportedly lobbying classrooms to use its vast selection of videos for several years now. However, these past pitches have met with concerns over YouTube’s targeted advertising and non-educational content. In light of this, YouTube has shared that it will give all sales from its new service to creators whose videos play in classrooms for the first two years. After this time period, YouTube will take a commission of sales.

Replying to NTA, the student said they had already submitted the issue on the official website. They continued by saying, “First you confuse us by giving us multiple dates for exams that we have already submitted, and then you issue admit cards saying that students who have submitted the same papers previously should not reappear for the new slots.”

Many other students have also faced similar problems. Another student said, “This happened to me too. I had given my exam on 20.07.2022 for accounts, English and Business Studies and now it is showing up as absent.”

International Literacy Day 2022: Know the history, theme and significance.

International literacy day 2022

International Literacy Day 2022: Know the history, theme and significance.

This year, the world will commemorate International Literacy Day under the theme of Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces. This important day highlights the crucial role that literacy plays in transforming lives and empowering individuals, communities and societies.

International literacy day 2022

International Literacy Day is observed annually on September 8th as a way to bring attention to the importance of literacy and the issues that surround us in our local communities. This day was proclaimed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) back in 1966 and has been celebrated every year since.

Literacy day is important because literacy is the cornerstone of education and without it, people wouldn’t be able to progress or develop in society. Take this day as an opportunity to help spread the word about the importance of literacy!

Why Celebrate Literacy Day?

International Literacy Day is a day that is observed by people all around the world. The purpose of this day is to remind people of the importance of literacy and how it can positively affect communities, societies, and individuals. Additionally, this day serves as a way to highlight the positive effects that come with having a higher literacy rate.

Unesco website explains it is celebrated “annually around the world to remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights, and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society. Despite progress made, literacy challenges persist with 771 million illiterate people around the world, most of whom are women, who still lack basic reading and writing skills and are faced with increased vulnerability”.

What is the theme for this year?

The theme for International Literacy Day this year is “Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces” and its focus will be urging people to rethink the fundamental importance of literacy learning spaces to build resilience and ensure quality, equitable, and inclusive education for all individuals around the globe.

This year, Unesco and all the other stakeholders are focusing more on the changing definition of ‘rapid changes’ in the context of the coronavirus pandemic that brought the whole world to a standstill in 2020 and affected hundreds of millions of lives around the globe.

In particular, they want to emphasize how quickly things can change and how important it is to be adaptable in order to ensure that everyone has access to quality education despite any obstacles that might come up.
