IIT Bombay enters top 150 global universities after 8 years, following IISc's feat

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has broken into the top 150 universities in the world, according to the latest QS World University Rankings. This is the first time that IIT Bombay has made it into the top 150 since 2014, when it was ranked 147th.
IIT Bombay’s rise in the rankings is due to a number of factors, including its strong performance in the areas of academic reputation, employer reputation, and research impact. The institute also scored well in the QS’s new indicator, “internationalization,” which measures the extent to which an institution attracts students and faculty from other countries.
IIT Bombay’s achievement is a significant milestone for Indian higher education. It is the second Indian institute to break into the top 150, after the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), which was ranked 155th in the latest rankings.
