The registration and application process for C-DAC’s Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT 2013) is online.
Candidates have to register themselves on the C-DAC website www.cdac.in by filling in the online registration and application forms. Once registered, you will receive a form number which will be required to fill in the online application form for C-CAT and must be remembered as this form number also serves as your reference number and login ID throughout the entire process.
Once you have registered, you need to log in and fill the C-CAT application form where you will need to enter details regarding personal information and regarding your qualifying degree. You will also need to select the PG Diploma courses you are applying for. Candidates can select up to ten courses as per their interest and eligibility, but Rs.100 will be charged per course selected.
The basic application fee for C-CAT is Rs. 1000. Rs.100 will be charged for every course opted for in the online application and so, the application fee for one course will be Rs. 1100, and if you opt for two courses, Rs. 1200, and so on.
Online: Application fees can be paid using both credit and debit cards through the payment gateway provided along with the online application. Make sure you follow the instructions/steps shown, and also print/keep the transaction details for your record.
Offline: The application fee can also be paid in cash at any of the C-DAC centers or at C-DAC’s Affiliated Training Centers (ATC). After filling out the online application, print the form and submit it along with the fee (in cash) at any of the C-DAC training centers on or before 28 November, 2013.
When C-DAC has acknowledged your payment, the ‘Make Payment’ option on the main menu of the online application will be tick-marked, and the status of your payment will be updated on the ‘Status Check’ menu. If you click the ‘View/Print Application Form’ on the main menu, the transaction details of the payment made by you will be visible.
No check or demand draft (DD) will be accepted towards payment of C-CAT application fees.
Admit cards will be available for download between 4 – 13 December, 2013. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination without a valid admit card and a photo identity proof, which must be presented to the C-CAT invigilators/officials for verification.
The admit card will have details regarding time, venue and date. Make sure you are there at the examination center well in time.
As in any exam, logarithmic tables, calculators, mobile phones, and gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall and any use of unfair means will lead to cancellation of your examination.
