Since her childhood, I have wanted my daughter to achieve this feat and today she has made me proud.”
Sargam also gave credit to her father in one of her Instagram posts by saying, “WHY MRS WORLD? There are numerous reasons why I want to be the next Mrs. World. But the core motive, the cause of it all, is this man- My father. Since I was a little girl, he always told me, “You’re different, I see it in your eyes. You’re meant for greater things in life. Things that people wish to achieve, but don’t have the courage to. You have that courage in your heart and the fire in your belly even as a little girl.” I never knew if I could ever do justice to these words until I won the Mrs. India World title this year. In one of my interviews dad said,” I’m not surprised. This was her destiny. And there’s more to come.”

Sargam Koushal’s husband is Aditya Manohar Sharma. He is a lieutenant commander in the Indian Navy. Sargam has shared many photos and Instagram stories with him and other members of her family on her social media pages.

Sargam Koushal did her schooling at Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. She graduated from Women’s College in Jammu and did her post-graduation in English Literature at Jammu University.
She also holds a B.Ed from Government B.Ed College in Jammu. Koushal was born on September 17, 1990, and has also worked as a teacher in Visakhapatnam.

Mrs. World Sargam Koushal started her career as a teacher but later decided to enter the modeling business – which she had always been interested in since childhood and was also actively taking part in during college time.
Earlier this year, in June, Sargam participated in and won the Mrs. India beauty pageant. The finals were judged by a prestigious panel that included Mohammad Azharuddin, Soha Ali Khan, Aditi Govitrikar, Vivek Oberoi, and couture designer Masumi Mewawalla.
On 18 December, Sargam won the title of Mrs. World 2022 by defeating contestants from 63 countries. After winning the pageant, Mrs. World Sargam Koushal said, “the long wait is over, it’s after 21 years we have the Crown Back”.
