IIM Bodhgaya, formerly announced as IIM Bihar, is one of the newest IIMs that will begin its operations soon and hopes to bring a new ray of hope for Bihar, a state which has been laggard until a few years back. IIM Gaya will be guided by IIM Calcutta as its mentor.
IIM Bodh Gaya shall be offering the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management. The institution is expected to provide the standard specializations such as Finance, Marketing and HR.
IIM Calcutta would be mentoring the institute till it moves to its permanent campus (about 3 years later). Since the recruitment of faculty is a long process, faculty members from IIM Calcutta shall be delivering courses at the institute. This would include some visiting faculty from IIM Calcutta for meeting best standards. In fact, the overall quality as well as design shall be overseen by IIM Calcutta.

The fee for the course at IIM Gaya is likely to be upwards Rs.9 Lakhs. But, the quality of education especially being assisted by a formidable institute makes it worth it. The breakup of the fee details shall be provided when the candidate gets the admission letter.
The basic requirement for a candidate who wants to take admission to the PGP course in IIM Bodh Gaya is a good CAT 2016 Score.
The minimum CAT percentile for general candidates was 80 whereas the eligibility for other candidates from OBC, SC and ST was between 50-60 percentile. This would be followed Personal Interview and Written Aptitude Test. IIM Gaya would be using the PI and WAT score obtained IIM Udaipur. If your PI/ WAT has not been conducted previosuly, it will be at IIM Calcutta.
Candidates must make sure to opt for IIM Gaya while applying for CAT and candidates shall be called at IIM Calcutta for PI & WAT. To sum up, your selection will be on the basis of CAT 2016 score, PI and WAT, work experience as well as class 10th and 12th marks. 2 points will be awarded to female candidates to ensure gender diversity. All in all, a fair and transparent process shall be done for selection of candidates.
