This scheme not only reduces the extra burden of finance on the students but also makes the educational system more liberal in the country.  Â

There are several banks in the country that provide educational loan facility to the students stepping towards higher education in India and abroad. The financial assistance provided by the banks follows the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India.

Scholarships
A scholarship is an award which is provided to an individual as a form of financial aid for furthering his/her education. The Indian education system also follows this method by providing scholarships to the students by means of various schemes launched by the government of India. There is special provision of providing scholarships to the backward categories of the nation like SCs and STs. The scholarships provided to general categories are based on merit. The marks scored by a student in a qualifying examination are taken into consideration for the award of a particular scholarship. This is decided by the award offering authority.
