Amity Law School

Introduction:

The Amity Law School (ALS) has the unique distinction of being the first Law School in Delhi to start a 5 year integrated LL.B (H) programme. The School was established under the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) to achieve world-class legal education in the country. The LL.B(H) Programme was started in November 1999. The LL.B(H) Programme seeks to promote multi-disciplinary analysis of the socio-legal problems by designing its course-structure and teaching methods to realize these objectives. The methods of teaching in the Law School include lecture discussions, case law analysis, moot court training, project assignment and placement programmes. One is required to fill up the application form and then appear for the Entrance Test conducted by GGS Indraprastha University, to enter the LL.B course.

Course and Eligibility

B.A LLB (Hons.)

Eligibility: i) A candidate desirous of admission to the LL.B(Hons.) programme should have passed HSC, with at least 50% marks in aggregate with English as a compulsory subject, from a recognized board.

ii) Candidate should be below 21 years of age on 1st August.

Intake Capacity: Each year a total number of 80 students will be admitted in the LL.B (Hons.) programme of Amity Law School. The seat allocation is as follows:-

90% of the seats under various courses of the affiliated institutions including Amity Law School shall be filled up through a Common Entrance Test conducted by the University followed by counseling upon two rounds as per the present practice. State Government Policy on reservations will apply in these admissions.

10% of the seats (8 seats) are to be filled in by the Management from the merit list only.

Course Pattern:

In accordance with the GGS Indraprastha University norms, the institute has a semester system. A student studies approximately 50 subjects in his course and undergoes internship in his last semester.
