Department of Law Calcutta University

Introduction

The Department of Law, Calcutta University was initially started in January 1909 as University College of Law and later renamed as Dept. of Law in February 1983. Since its inception the department  has been striving to offer quality legal education to Indian students for which it has been placed among the top 25 law schools in the country.
