Eligibility Requirements for CAT

  • A CAT 2022 aspirant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category) from any recognized University of India.
  • If the aspirant is in the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification and have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results, he/she can also apply. 

List of Equivalent Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./Post Diploma ) or B.E/B.Tech equivalent examinations, of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers India)
  • Any Qualification recognized by Association of Indian Universities New Delhi which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by UGC recognized University/Institutions.
  • Cases not covered above equivalency certificate to be produced from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

CAT Eligibility criteria: Registration with Backlog

Will you be eligible to apply for CAT 2022 with backlogs? Yes you will! Any Candidate with backlogs in their graduation program can apply and give the CAT examination without any difficulties. Any Candidate who have scored 50% in their graduation and even in supplementary exam can apply for the exam. While filling the CAT registration form, remember, to choose “Yes” to the question, “Are you in your final year of your bachelor’s degree?”.

CAT Eligibility Criteria: Reservation for PwD Category
