Exam pattern for admission to undergraduate and postgraduateĀ courses in JIPMER is given below:
Undergraduate Program (MBBS)
The entrance examination for MBBS course will be of multiple choice type questions totaling 200 in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. One mark will be awarded for each answer with correct response. Zero Mark will be given for the question not answered. More than one answer indicated against a question, will be deemed as incorrect response and no mark will be given. There is No Negative Marking.
The correct answer in the answer sheet should be blackened with Black Ball Point Pen.
NOTE: General standard of the Entrance Examination will be that of CBSE standard or any other equivalent examination of an Indian University/Board. No specific syllabus for the examination has been prescribed by this Institute.
Post Graduate Program (MD/MS)
The Question Paper for entrance examination to PG diploma and PG degree (MD/MS) is common to all and consists of one paper of 250 MCQs covering all subjects taught at Under Graduate level.
