Delhi School Closed: Due to the extreme cold wave that is affecting the nation’s capital, the Delhi government announced on Sunday that all remedial classes for students in classes 9 through 12 are suspended immediately.

However, the Delhi Directorate of Education stated in its circular dated January 8 that practical exams, internal assessments, and project work for candidates for the CBSE Class 10, 12 board exam will continue as per the schedule announced by the board.

With this, all schools in Delhi are closed to students, with the exception of those preparing for board exams. The Delhi Department of Education previously declared January 1–15 as the winter break.

From January 1 through January 15, 2023, all public schools run by the Directorate of Education will be closed for the winter break.

Remedial classes will be held for classes 9 through 12 in order to update the curriculum and improve students’ academic performance. These classes will give the students the chance to review the subject’s fundamental ideas from the perspective of the exam, it was added.

Amid the ongoing cold wave, many north Indian states have announced school holidays for their students.

As reported by news agency ANI, all schools in Lucknow up to Class 8 will remain shut till January 14.

Recently, state governments of Bihar and Jharkhand have also announced school holidays due to the ongoing cold wave.
