This is a certificate program for retired officers of the Short Service Commission (SSC) Indian Defense Forces. This program helps sharpen the skills and knowledge of leaders transiting into corporate careers by developing their core business and soft management skills.
IIM Banglore: A total of 60 armed forces officers have successfully completed the Defense Officer Business Management Program from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.
A team of four faculty anchored the business management program at IIMB consisting of Prof. G Shainesh (Marketing), Prof. Vasanthi Srinivasan (OB&HRM); Padmini Srinivasan (Finance); PD José (Strategy). The certificates were presented by Major General Sharad Kapur, YSM, SM, Director General, Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
This certificate program is for retired officers of the Short Service Commission (SSC) Indian Defense Forces. This program helps sharpen the skills and knowledge of leaders transiting into corporate careers by developing their core business and soft management skills. The program design was based on IIM Bangalore’s EGMP program and IIMBx’s Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), on-campus in addition to self-study. The pace of learning through the MOOCs of IIMBx, the digital learning arm of IIMB. Officers participated in various case studies, discussions, role-plays, interactions with industry professionals, etc.
