IIT Madras will host three day Space Technology Conclave

This year, the Space Technology conclave will focus on four themes: space policy, international collaboration, scientific research and development and space entrepreneurship

IIT Madras, the US Consulate General Chennai, and Indian Space Association will be hosting a three-day event on space technology starting today at IIT Madras.

One key outcome of this conclave will be the creation of the Association of Space Entrepreneurs in the Indo-Pacific. A White Paper will also be shared with stakeholders in India, the United States and other countries in the Indo-Pacific.

The Space Technology conference will cover four important topics: space policy, international collaboration, scientific research and development, and space entrepreneurship and business.

“Titled ‘Space Technology: The Next Business Frontier,’ the conclave will explore ways to optimize business opportunities and collaboration across the Indo-Pacific region,” the press release states.

A series of working groups will explore themes during the conference. More than 70 invited working group participants along with four chairpersons from 15 different countries, including India, USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Germany and Malaysia–to name a few–will participate in the conclave.
