Students and parents discussed admissions policies and career advancement with a delegation from prestigious Irish schools and the Irish Ambassador.
The Irish government’s project, Education in Ireland, successfully completed its first in-person education fair after the pandemic in New Delhi. Around 350 students and parents participated in discussions with sixteen Irish higher education institutes in Delhi. The relaunch of the education expo gave students information on various programs, admissions, offerings, campus life, housing, support for international students, scholarships, and culture. The official release stated that “discussions on visa processes formed a vital element of this fair, helping students understand the road map to apply to study in Ireland for the academic year 2023–2024.”
Indian students frequently enroll in courses in engineering, computing, business, nursing, and the social sciences in Ireland. Recently, there has been a rise in demand for courses that cover cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), agritech, data analytics, fintech, and cyber security. Ireland’s two-year stay-back option advantage has made it quite popular with Indian students as well. The officials stated that because of Ireland’s reputation for warmth and generosity, it is easy for foreign students to integrate into Irish society and, in particular, student life. owing to its diverse society, strong educational standards, and hospitable environment.
Over 5,000 Indian students choose Ireland as their study abroad destination during the most recent academic cycle. Barry O’Driscoll, Regional Manager for Education in Ireland in India and South Asia, commented on the fairs, saying, “We’re thrilled to be back with our first in-person fairs post-pandemic. The fairs give a fantastic opportunity for parents and students to interact with and ask questions of representatives from Ireland’s top higher education institutions about courses, career opportunities, and offerings.
Our mission is to support students in making wise decisions regarding their educational path and achieving tremendous success in life, and we believe we have succeeded in doing so to a large extent. On November 20 in Pune and November 23 in Mumbai, the education fair will take place. Ireland’s leading higher education institutions will also host fairs in Chennai and Bangalore on November 26 and November 27, 2022, respectively.
