NIFT To Start Offering Hybrid Courses Soon, Says Textiles Ministry

The Textiles Ministry plans to start hybrid courses in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). Piyush Goyal, Union Minister, said that the aim of this step is to accommodate more students. NIFT, established in 1986, is known to provide human resources to the apparel and textile industry.

The Union Minister also added that NIFT campuses can be used for teaching in-person and through online medium during the summer holidays. This will allow more students to pursue courses from the institute. NIFT has campuses in different cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Gandhinagar.

Earlier during the day, the minister also visited the Gandhi Darshan Museum for the flag hoisting ceremony and distributed flags for the Har Ghar Tiranga Mahotsav. The aim of the campaign is to create a sense of patriotism.
