NIRF rank: The deadline to register for NIRF 2023 rankings is November 18. This year there’s a few new categories including agriculture and allied sciences.

NIRF Ranking 2023

The Ministry of Education is inviting applications for a National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking for the year 2023. If you’re wondering about how to register for this Indian initiative, you can find all the information on the official website: nirfindia.org.

Institutions of higher education will have to register for these rankings by November 18th at 5pm.

The NIRF ranking has expanded this year with a new category, Agriculture and Allied Sectors, as well as a new name for Architecture: Architecture and Planning.

The last year had four subjects: Overall, Colleges, Universities, and Research Institutions and seven subject domains: Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Architecture, and Dental.

In the 2022 rankings from NIRF, IISc Bangalore ranked first amongst all institutions, universities, and research organizations. IIT Madras topped the rankings in overall ranking.

National Law School of India University has been ranked number one in many law-related rankings.

IIM Ahmedabad is the #1 ranked institution for management. Of the 387 institutions in rankings that did not have research papers, 271 had no web presence and 152 could not be ranked.

The institutions were ranked on different parameters in different disciplines. Parameters include research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and more.
