The Prime Minister’s dedication to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the country will be further facilitated by the Conclave – which will be the first of its kind. The Conclave will bolster mechanisms for coordination and collaboration between Centre and State governments – with the goal of creating a cohesive science, technology & innovation (STI) ecosystem across India that takes advantage of the strengths of each region. Science is a powerful force that can accelerate the development of every region in India, said Prime Minister Modi in his address at the Centre-State Science Conclave.
He went on to say that science will play a crucial role in leading the fourth industrial revolution in India. Science is the basis for solutions, evolution, and innovation, he concluded. PM Modi said that India is moving forward with the call of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, and Jai Anusandhan.” He added that in the West, scientists like Einstein, Fermi, Max Planck, Niels Bohr, and Tesla have surprised the world with their experiments.
When we celebrate the achievements of our scientists, science becomes part of our society, it becomes part of the culture. “Therefore, today my first request is that we celebrate the achievements of the scientists of our country with great enthusiasm.”
Talking about the initiatives of his government, PM Modi said the government is working with the thinking of Science-Based Development. He said that this thinking will enable us to find solutions to many problems that we face today.
