Relaunch Scholarship by Shahrukh Khan: With the partnership of the Indian Festival of Melbourne and La Trobe University, Shahrukh Khan’s scholarship makes a comeback at La Trobe University.

Scholarship By Shahrukh Khan: For Indian students who are pursuing a Ph.D. from an Australian university, Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan teamed up with the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and La Trobe University to re-launch the scholarship for these Indian students. Those who are interested have time till September 23 to apply for this scholarship from the official website of La Trobe University – latrobe.edu.au.

The Scholarship is valued at more than $225,000 (AUD), Some top criteria for these 4 years research Scholarships are:

  • The candidate should be a Female Indian National who resides in India
  • Must complete her master’s degree within 10 past years
  • The selected Student will receive 4 years La Trobe University full-free research scholarship.

Steps for Apply to this scholarship

  1. Visit the university’s official website: latrobe.edu.au.
  2. Select ‘Industry and Community” from the Down-drop menu
  3. In “Local and Global Engagement”, click on the “Partnership”
  4. Click “Indian Film Festival” and then “‘Shah Rukh Khan.
  5. Click “Express your interest” fill in the details required and Submit it

Candidates will be notified if they have been successful in submitting this application by November 11, 2022. Those who have not studied outside India previously are to be preferred.

Eligibility Criteria for this Scholarship

  • The candidate should be Aspiring Indian Female
  • Must be completed her master’s by Research degree in a relevant discipline, completed within the past 10 years.
  • Desire to undertake one of the Eight Ph.D. research projects offered by La Trobe University
  • assessed equivalent to University Master’s by research degree standard of 70 or above
  • Should be resident of India and primary resident of India

In 2019, when Sharukh Khan was the chief guest at Film Festival first-ever scholarship was announced. He visited the university to launch this scholarship program. After that, Gopika Kottantharayil Bhasi from Thrissur in Kerala in India was awarded for Maiden Scholarship but due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, it was on hold for last year.

Over 800 Applicants applied for this scholarship, making it the most applied scholarship program says La Trobe University.
