Alagappa University offers Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) under Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE). This program is offered in association with Department of Science & Technology (DST) of Government of India. The Department of Biotechnology, Alagappa University is a UGC-SAP and DST-FIST & PURSE sponsored department.
Alagappa University JRF DST PURSE Program Notification 2016
There will be walk-in interview for the position of JRF tenable at the Department of Biotechnology of Alagappa University under the PURSE programme of the DST, Government of India for a CSIR funded research project called “Production, purification and characterization of a-amylase from marine sediment bacterium Bacillus subtilis S8-18 and its evaluation for antibiofilm activity against human pathogens.”

Eligibility Criteria
First Class M.Sc., in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry or equivalent of a recognized University with NET (JRF). NET (LS)/ GATE qualified candidates may also apply.
Remuneration & duration
For NET (JRF) candidate: Rs.15,000 per month + Admissible HRA: up to 30 June, 2017

Interested applicants must bring their CV, testimonials, copies of certificates and all original certificates for verification. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.
