The Azim Premji Foundation has been working consistently for a decade to address the educational requirements of various states in India by partnering with the government and teachers. It has set up “district institutes” in these states with dedicated teams to address the needs and impending issues of the education system in India.
The Foundation now invites candidates who aspire to bring positive change and development in the field of education to be a part of the Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship Program. It allows fellows not just to understand the issues facing the education system, but also allows them to tackle impending issues first hand.
The fellowship is a 2-year full-time program that consists the following modules:
During this 2 year period Foundation will provide opportunities to build an understanding in the area of education through teaching and capacity building through various roles in the DI. Every Fellowship participant be actively mentored and will benefit from hands-on experience of working in the field.
Fellowship candidates will be posted to rural districts of the 8 states that we work out of. Fellowship candidates are expected to be prepared to live and work in rural environments which provides an important exposure to challenging living conditions of that terrain. Fellows will be posted to interior districts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Telangana.
Candidates will be given a monthly stipend of Rs.28,800. There will be opportunities to work with Azim Premji Foundation after successful completion of two year programme. You will also receive a certificate after completing this fellowship program.
Aspiring candidates must fulfill the following criteria to apply for the Fellowship:

Candidates shortlisted based on their application will go through two stages of selection:
Online Assessment: The test will assess applicants on their knowledge about socio-economics, geographical & political understanding, reading comprehension, descriptive writing and analytical ability. The test will be a mix of multiple choice and descriptive Questions.
Personal Interview: Applicants who clear the online assessment will be invited for an interview. Candidates will be notified by e-mail and given a particular topic, on which they should prepare a 10-15 minute presentation to the interview panel.
Selected applicants undergo the online test 4 December, 2016. The candidates who clear the online test will be invited between 19-23 December 2016 for a personal interview. For the interview round, be prepared to make a 10-15 mins presentation on a given topic in front of the interview panel.
