The Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust awards scholarships to Indian women graduates from recognised Indian universities to pursue higher education abroad from universities/ institutions in the United States (US), UK or Europe.
Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded in the following fields of study
- Social Work
- Social Science
- Education
- Education and Welfare of Children with Special Needs
- Health and Empowerment of Women
- Gender Studies
- Child Health – Development & Nutrition
- Health Policy and Health Education
- Public Health – Community Health Services, Reproductive Health
- Rural Development Work (with a focus on women and children)
- Communication for Development (with a focus on women’s issues)
- Development Studies
Eligibility Criteria
- Female candidates with a graduate degree from any recognized Indian university are eligible to apply.
- They must have a good and strong academic background.
- They should already have applied or taken admission in any of the colleges in US, UK or Europe (these courses aren’t be short, part-time or correspondence based)
- Work experience in the requisite fields will be considered an added qualification

Application process
Interested candidates will get the application forms by post/ courier after submitting a neatly-typed letter detailing the course they wish to pursue, course fees, sources of funding and candidate’s current profile (along with necessary documents).
