The Foreign Affairs Canada, Government of Canada through Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute invites applications from Indian Scholars for Doctoral Research Fellowships.
The different grants provided are as follows:
SICI Doctoral Research Fellowships
Candidates must able to work at least 6 months on doctoral dissertion in Canada. Preference will be given to thesis work on policies related Canada and its foreign policy. Topics may include Democracy & Rule of Law, Economic Development, Environment, Managing Diversity, North American Partnership, Peace and Security, Education and Bilateral ties. Proposals in Comparative studies with substantial Canadian content (33% or more) and with Aspects of Canada’s bilateral relations with participating countries are also encouraged.
To apply for SICI Doctoral Research Fellowships interested candidates must be enrolled in Doctoral program and must have successfully completed non-thesis requirements of the Ph.D. by the time the tenure of the award commences. Proficiency in English and or French is necessary. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
