GATE 2023: GATE 2023: Exam pattern, Eligibility, Application Process, and Important dates

If you fulfill one of the following you may be eligible to appear for GATE 2023:

• Bachelor’s degree holder or fourth-year student in engineering, technology, pharmacy or architecture (four years after 10+2)
• Master’s degree holder or final-year student in any branch of science, statistics, mathematics, computer applications or equivalent
• Candidate in the second or higher year of the four-year integrated master’s degree programme (Post Bachelor of Science) in engineering/technology
• Student in the fourth or fifth year of five-year integrated master’s degree programme and dual degree programme in engineering/technology
• Degree holder or final-year student in integrated Master of Science (M.Sc.) or five-year integrated B.S./M.S.
• Holder of qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) or other relevant society as equivalent to the B.E. or B.Tech. Also eligible are those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses.

Candidates who are in the final year of the qualifying examination and those who have completed the qualifying degree can apply.

*Candidates appearing for GATE 2023 from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and UAE should either have completed their Bachelors degree or be in their final year of Engineering/Technology. They could also hold a postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) in Science.
