NMC had asked for this extension as, according to an order passed by the Supreme Court in 2016, the commission cannot conduct admissions in PG medical courses after May 31. However, with the new extension, the NMC will now be able to admit students until November 25.

The medical commission stated that counselling for academic years 2020-21 and 2021-22 was not conducted on time due to Covid and the lockdowns, which has caused further delays in the commencement of the academic year.

Recently, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the revised cut-off scores for NEET PG counselling 2022 at the official website — natboard.edu.in. The decision to reduce the NEET PG cut-off was taken to fill the many vacant seats in last year’s PG counselling admissions.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) recently announced the final result for round 2 NEET PG 2022 counselling, which is available on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

DU UG Merit List 2022: DU Postpones Round 1 Allotment Process to October 19

The decision to postpone the DU UG allotment process was made after the Supreme Court said it would hear a plea from St Stephen’s College tomorrow.

DU UG Merit list 2022

The Delhi University has announced that the release of the DU UG first merit list for admission to the university has been postponed to Wednesday, October 19, 2022

This decision was taken after the Supreme Court had announced to hear a plea of St Stephen’s College against a Delhi High Court order which had asked it to follow the admission policy of the Delhi University.

The high court has asked the college to follow the DU admission policy, according to which 100 percent weightage should be given to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-2022 score while granting admissions to non-minority students in its UG courses.

However, St Stephen’s College wants to give only 85 percent weightage to CUET and 15 per cent to interviews for admitting students across categories.

The window for candidates to accept the alloted seat was scheduled to be active on October 19, however, a delay is expected in the DU UG first allotment process. Delhi University is also likely to officially announce the deferment on the official website, du.ac.in.

DU students should note that according to the academic calendar for 2022-23, classes for all first-year undergraduate courses will begin on November 2, 2022. The DU practical examinations for students will begin from February 17 to 26, 2023. Theory exams will take place from February 27 to March 15.

The total number of applications for Delhi University’s UG admission for 2022 has declined by nearly 40 percent this year. The percentage of students from CBSE seeking UG admission at Delhi University has gone up by 1.5 percent as against last year, PTI reported.
