AIIMS MBBS student shared myths and reality about NEET preparation.

NEET 2022 preparation

AIIMS MBBS student shared myths and reality about NEET preparation.

An AIIMS MBBS student busted the myths created by the coaching institutes in india about NEET preparation. Full story below:

NEET 2022 preparation

Growing up in India, we know firsthand the pressure students face to enter the medical profession. It’s almost like it’s the default choice for any school-going kid when they don’t have a predetermined choice. Thousands of aspirants battle it out for their seats during the NEET examination, taken every year.

Preparation for NEET usually starts in the school years for many students, and some even drop some years after school to prepare for the NEET exams. We all have several false beliefs about NEET preparation based on what we hear.

Hariom Patel, who is currently an AIIMS MBBS student, shared some myths and realities about NEET PG preparation. Let’s take a look at them.

  • Myth: You need 2/3/4/5 years for preparation.

Reality: You need only 6 months of preparation

  • Myth: You need to finish all the humongous notes of coachings/review books.

Reality: You need to review the previous 3 years’ question papers, make a list of the topics asked, and read them in detail.

  • Myth: The exam is not clinical

Reality: In the past few years, the exam has started focusing more on clinical questions.

Giving blame to coaching institutes in India, Hariom Patel said, “All these myths are spread by the cash loaded PG coaching business with the help of toppers. They have succeeded in making the aspirants believe they decide the syllabus of the exam and to finish that you need to start preparation from 1st/2nd year itself.”

If you look at it in terms of revenue, these coaching businesses get 5 times as much revenue by convincing you to start preparing (and subscribe to their apps) from the first year as compared to the standard 6 month preparation.- Hariom Patel

Adding further to this, Patel added, “Their god level marketing skills have penetrated their propaganda so deeply into the minds of even the brightest minds of the country that it is difficult for someone to think contrary to what they want us to think. The level of FOMO that they have created is touching the roof. “

JoSAA Counseling 2022: IIT Bombay to conduct special sessions for female students who qualified JEE advanced

IIT Bombay will be conducting special counselling sessions for female students who have qualified for JEE advanced 2022 to address the issue of female students opting out of admission.

JoSAA Counselling 2022

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will hold a one-of-its-kind virtual counseling session for female candidates along with their parents who have qualified for the JEE Advanced exam in order to encourage them not to give up their IIT seats.

Subhasis Chaudhuri, director, IIT Bombay, said, “Sometimes it has been observed that girls – even after getting an IIT seat – do not join for reasons such as the institute being far away from their home. Parents think it is better to go to an institute which is nearby. We want to change this. If a Mumbai girl, for example, gets a seat in IIT Kharagpur; she should take it”.

Also read: IIT Bombay Director – The Dip In Qualifying Cut – Marks For JEE Advance 2022 Will Not Impact Admissions.

“We will be sharing a link with all the girls in order to have a talk with them. If they qualify and bag a seat in any IIT, they should take it. In fact, girls also have supernumerary seats, which is to their advantage. They should make use of them,” Chaudhuri said, adding that there has been a remarkable growth in the number of female candidates among the top 100 JEE Advanced qualified candidates this year.

The JEE Advanced results are out and the competition to get into India’s top technology institutes has begun. With a difficult paper, the cut-off has already dipped, making the competition more fierce. Out of the 1,55,538 candidates who appeared for the JEE Advanced exam on August 28, 40,712 have qualified. A total of 33,608 female candidates appeared for the exam, and 6,516 of them qualified.

As per the JoSAA seat matrix, there are around 16,598 seats to be filled in 23 IITs, including 1,567 supernumerary seats for female candidates.

NEET 2022: Four tribal students from Maharashtra’s remote hamlets cleared NEET

Read the inspiring story of four tribal students from a remote region who cleared the NEET 2022 despite facing many challenges.

NEET UG 2022

Four students from remote villages in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region have moved one step closer to realizing their dream of becoming doctors and serving their community by clearing the medical entrance examination NEET 2022.

With limited resources available, students whose families are farm laborers and marginal farmers have cleared the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022, the results of which were announced on September 8

These determined students have shown that with enough dedication and drive, anyone can achieve their goals regardless of their circumstances. We hope to see more stories like this in the future!

Arun Lalsu Mattami, an 18-year-old from a tribal hamlet in Bhamragad taluka, said that he’d always dreamed of becoming a doctor but that education was not easily accessible where he lived.

To pursue his studies, he stayed in a hostel from Class 4 onwards in Aheri and Class 12 in Bhamragad. He belongs to the Madia Gond community, which is categorized as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group, and scored 450 out of 720 on the NEET-2022 exam. Arun’s parents are farmers who take up odd jobs to make ends meet.

"I was skeptical about appearing for NEET, as my family could not afford the coaching fees. However, one of my teachers put me in touch with Lift For Upliftment (LFU), an organization that offers free coaching,"

For 17 year old Sapna Jawarkar, trying to take the NEET exams posed a serious challenge due to the language barrier. As the daughter of a marginal farmer from the Makhla village located in the Melghat district of Amravati, Sapna stated that it was difficult for her to study for the exam because she found it hard to understand English.

Luckily, with the help of mentors at LFU, she was not only able to overcome this obstacle but ended up passing the exam along with fellow tribal students, Sachin Arki and Rakesh Podali from Bhamragad. All three students are now expected to enroll in the MBBS course.

IIM-Bangalore

IIM-Bangalore recognised as India's best B-school in Masters programmes.

The IIM (B) ranked 31st in financial times Masters in Management ranking and has also ranked ahead of schools from France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Denmark.

IIM-Bangalore

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bengaluru has been declared India’s best business school for Masters students by the British daily Financial Times in its annual Masters in Management (MiM) list. IIM (B) was ranked number 31, finishing ahead of schools from France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Denmark. The SP Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai and IIM Lucknow were also ranked at 44 and 64 positions in the list.

“Adding yet another feather to its cap, the Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) has been declared India’s Best B-school in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management (MiM) Ranking 2022 announced this morning,” the institute tweeted.

IIM Bangalore has seen a significant jump in its global ranking this year, moving up to 31st place from 47th in 2021. This is thanks to IIMB’s strong performance on key measures such as the proportion of faculty with doctorates, the graduates’ weighted salary, and employment at three months after graduation.

The Financial Times noted the average weighted salary of an IIM (Bangalore) graduate is $US144,178 dollars per annum. Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, the director, said, “We’re happy our focus on excellence is being reflected in national and global rankings. IIMB’s leadership position in these rankings helps raise the visibility and reputation of the school.”
