The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will release the revised rankings for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) today, October 2, 2022. The revised rankings will be available on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in.

This comes after the Karnataka High Court ordered that the revised rankings be released. As per the original notice released on September 28, 2022, the revised results were supposed to be announced on October 2, 2022.

KCET 2022 DETAILS

This year, over 2 lakh applicants appeared for the KCET 2022, and the exam was held from June 16 to June 18. To view their revised rankings, candidates have to enter their CET application number and other credentials.

The KCET 2022 result was declared by the KEA on July 30 without considering the qualifying marks of the 2nd PUC. Aspirants who passed the Pre-University Course (PUC) in 2020-21 approached the Karnataka High Court to challenge the decision of KEA for not considering 2020-21 marks while preparing for the KCET ranking 2022. Following the challenge, the Karnataka High Court directed the KEA to follow the formula suggested by a technical committee and release the KCET revised rankings.

3. Enter your login credentials if asked

To make students more prepared for the workforce, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is now encouraging students to enrol in its Degree Plus programme. This programme is conducted alongside the students’ regular BA, BCom and BSc degree programmes. More than 300 certificate courses are available on the university’s website, and a majority of them are offered free of cost.

The programme is available to students enrolled in a BA, BCom, or BSc degree. More than 300 certificate courses are available on the website, most of which are free.

Led by Nitin Karmalkar, who was the Vice-Chancellor of SPPU at the time, the initiative has made over 300 courses available to students at a reduced fee. The courses have been made available to students through partnerships with organizations such as Harvard Business Online, Stanford University, AWS, Simply Learn, and companies like IBM.

“By availing of the ‘Degree Plus’ opportunity, students at the university will be able to gain updated knowledge in information technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, economics, culture etc. It is highly encouraged that a maximum number of students take advantage of this opportunity,” said Karbhari Kale, Vice-Chancellor of SPPU.

All courses at SPPU are now available entirely online, and many are free. The course schedule for the 2022-23 academic year has been released on the website, and students will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the course. In its pilot run, nearly 26,000 students enrolled, and 5,000 were admitted. Students pursuing degrees from SPPU and its affiliated colleges can apply to the course at http://degreeplus.in.

The window to make corrections to the CUET PG application form for the class of 2022 will close today, September 30. Candidates who want to make any changes to their application can visit the official website up to 11:50 pm today.

The application correction window for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) is set to close today, September 30, 2022. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conclude the application correction process at 11:50 pm today. If candidates wish to make any edits to their CUET PG application form for 2022, they can do so by visiting the official website cuet.nta.nic.in and logging in to their respective portals. Candidates must use their application number and date of birth to log in and access the application form.

According to the NTA, the application correction facility is provided to candidates on a case-by-case basis. In a statement, the NTA said: “Some candidates have approached NTA requesting to allow them for correction in the particulars filled.

We understand that some applicants may have made mistakes during the online application process for CUET (PG) – 2022. In order to support them, we have decided to provide another opportunity for corrections.

The CUET PG 2022 results have been released, and unlike the CUET UG 2022 results, the PG scorecard includes the raw scores of the candidates. To explain this, NTA has not calculated the NTA score or percentile score for CUET PG and the candidates will be proceeding with the admission process on the basis of their raw scores. Universities granting admission on the basis of CUET PG scores are also directed to prepare the rank list or merit list based on raw scores.

The NTA has allowed candidates to make changes in the following fields:

– Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name or Father’s Name

– Date of Birth

– Gender

– Category

– PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities)

All the students who are interested to apply for the GATE 2023 exam can apply online on the official website gate.iitk.ac.in. However, as per the official notification, the registration process for the exam with late fees will continue till October 7. As per the official schedule, the GATE 2023 exam will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023.

The application fee for GATE 2023 exams is Rs 1350 per paper for general candidates while it is Rs 850 for Female, SC/ST and PwD candidates.

If you have still not filled your application for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023) exam, today, September 30, is the last day to do so without paying the late fee. All the students who are interested to apply for the GATE 2023 exam can apply online on the official website gate.iitk.ac.in. However, as per the official notification, the registration process for the exam with late fees will continue till October 7.

As per the official schedule, the GATE 2023 exam will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023.

Gate 2023 Application Fee:

The application fee for GATE 2023 exams is Rs 1350 per paper for general candidates while it is Rs 850 for Female, SC/ST and PwD candidates.

After today, candidates can still register for the exam by paying the late fee of Rs 1350 for female, SC / ST and PwD candidates; and Rs 2200 for all other candidates.

GATE exams are conducted for 29 papers including Aerpospace Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Textile Engineering and Fibre Science, Environmental Science and Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Ecology and Evolution, Humanities and Social Sciences, Geomatics Engineering and Life Sciences.

Apart from the 29 papers, candidates can also select two paper combinations from the given list of combinations of papers. The final allotment of two papers, however, will be subject to the availability of infrastructure and dates.

GATE exam is for total 100 marks, General Aptitude (GA) is common for all papers (15 marks) and rest of the paper covers the respective syllabus (85 marks).

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has successfully concluded the 67th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Prelims today, September 30. The BPSC 67th Prelims re-exam was conducted from 12 to 2 pm in a single shift at 38 districts in 1153 exam centers across the state.

Recently, CBSE has been called out for having casteist varna system text and image in its CBSE class 6 History book. However, CBSE has released a clarification over this viral text on Twitter.

As per the recent updates, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 6th History book has been in news for allegedly having casteist content. Thus viral image text on Varna System has been criticized by the public and many political parties as well. Soon after this went viral on social media, CBSE took to Twitter and issued a clarification over allegations that it has included a ‘casteist’ text, in the Class 6 History textbook. The CBSE stated that the text has been wrongfully attributed to CBSE. The students and other readers must note that CBSE does not publish any textbooks for schools across the country.

Clarification by CBSE Over ‘Casteist’ Varna System Text in Class 6 History Book

To one of the tweets on the issue, CBSE replied stating, “The class 6 History textbook containing topics on Varnas has been wrongly attributed as published by CBSE. This is factually incorrect. It is clarified that CBSE does not publish History textbooks, thus the matter does not relate to CBSE.”

Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, has launched a new mobile application today. Notification about the same has been issued on the official website upsc.gov.in.

The app has been developed for accessing all the Examination and Recruitment related information through mobile. The app is available for download on Google Play Store. UPSC in the notice has clarified that the purpose of the app is to provide information. Therefore, it can not be used to fill out the application form.

Notice on UPSC official website reads, “Union Public Service Commission has launched UPSC Android App on Google Play Store for accessing all the Examination and Recruitment related information through mobile. This app, however, would not allow us to fill out application forms using mobile. The UPSC Android App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store using this link.”
