Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) is one of the seven IIMs as stated during the Eleventh Five-year plan by the Government of India. It is under the guidance of IIM Banglore and is the 11th Indian Institute of Management in the Country. It was inaugurated on 4th January 2011 and Prof. Prafulla.Y.Agnihotri, a faculty of IIM Calcutta is the Director.

The permanent campus for the institute is spread over an area of 200 acres on the Trichy-Pudukottai highway. Currently the institute is functioning from National Institute of Technology campus as the permanent building is under construction.

Tiruchirappalli is a city in Tamil Nadu, located in Southern part of India. It is well connected to the major cities and towns in the country by several airlines, roadways and railways. Trichy is the industrial and education centre of Tamil Nadu.
