Developed and produced by Prometric with the IIMS, the first CAT was held from 22 October to 18 November, 2011 in 36 cities. IIMs and other non-IIM institutions currently accept CAT scores, check the list for recent additions. The exam is a computer-based test (CBT) for those already holding a bachelor’s degree. Two separate timed sections comprise the test: Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. CAT 2012 was held between October and November of that year. Fees were most recently Rs. 1,600 for general candidates and Rs. 800 for Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes (SC/ST) category candidates.

The Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) was conducted for admission to management degree programs offered by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The following institutes admitted students on the basis of JMET 2011 scores:

JMET 2011 was a standardized test and an all India merit rank was prepared on the basis of performance in JMET written entrance test. Candidates wishing to pursue management program from any of the above mentioned IITs or IISc Bangalore applied separately to the institutes.

On the basis JMET 2011 score candidates were shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews. JMET 2011 was organized by Indian Institute of Technology-IIT, Delhi. JMET tested for admission to two-year management programs leading to the Master of Management or an equivalent qualification.

JMET 2011 Eligibility Criteria

JMET 2011 Exam Pattern
