The Banaras Hindu University welcomed the Civil Services aspirants from the Scheduled Caste category who have been selected for free coaching under the Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence. The initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, will provide coaching to 100 candidates to prepare for the Civil Services (Prelims & Mains) examinations. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to pursue their dreams of becoming civil servants and help make a difference in their communities.
Professor Jain stated that the institution wants its students to succeed not just in their exams but also in life. He encouraged students to do their best and aim for success so that BHU could feel proud to have prepared and groomed them for success. He expressed confidence that not only will the Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence, BHU, be able to provide coaching for civil services exams but also be able to incorporate in its functioning the ideas proposed in the National Education Policy for holistic development of students.
The Vice-Chancellor praised the efforts and hard work of the DACE team led by Coordinator Professor R N Kharwar for the timely implementation of the program.
He said that the initiative is not just focused on coaching students to help them pass competitive exams, but it is also one that will help prepare them for life after school. He urged them to not just confine themselves to gaining theoretical knowledge but also to work hard on building their personalities and developing life skills. By doing so, they would be better equipped to face the challenges of the real world.
