The Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur, is pleased to launch new engineering-linked four-year Bachelor of Science programmes in Chemistry and Physics with specialisation. With an increasing demand for modern technology, these courses aim to provide students with the necessary skills and training to excel in their desired field.

Our programs will focus on helping students gain fundamental knowledge in basic science and engineering during their first year. Students will then be able to expand upon this knowledge with more comprehensive theories and experiments in advanced concepts of Chemistry and Physics during their second and third years. Finally, in their fourth and final year, students can specialise in a particular area at the forefront of science.

In the first year, the programmes will focus on fundamental knowledge in basic science and engineering. The second and third years will focus on comprehensive theory and experiments in advanced concepts of Chemistry and Physics. And in the final year, the programmes will enable students to specialise in a focused area at the forefront of science.

The courses in this programmes have been designed to reflect the interdisciplinary approach mentioned in the National Education Policy 2020. One of the critical features of the curriculum is the flexibility to choose from different specialisations.

The Bachelor of Science in Physics program focuses on theoretical foundations and practical skills in fundamental and applied physics, with an understanding of interdisciplinary subjects through theory, computation and hands-on training. The program provides graduates with career opportunities in diverse areas.

The students in the programmes will be able to convert their four-year program to a five-year Bachelor of Science-MTech dual degree program with their respective specialisation. The program also offers an entrepreneurial path for those interested in science-based engineering innovations.

Management Institutes that offer admission to postgraduate management courses are AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) approved and affiliated to universities for the awarding of degrees and certificates. MAT has the unique distinction of being awarded with ISO 9001: 2000 certification.

MAT was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India as a national level test in 2003.
