Divya from Fatehpur district has become the new topper of the Class 12 Uttar Pradesh board exam, taking away the top spot from her twin sister Divyanshi after gaining two more marks than her following re-evaluation.

Dissatisfied with the marks in her Hindi paper, Divya applied for re-evaluation in which she got 38 more marks and now she has got two marks more than her sister Divyanshi and emerged as the state topper, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Devki Singh said.

IndiaEducation Counselling

Divyanshi, a student of Jai Maa Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College, Radhanagar, had secured the first position in the state by securing 477 marks out of 500 in the examination, but now the student of the same school and her twin sister Divya has got this rank, the DIOS said.

With this, the first and second place in the UP Class 12 topper list has come to the students of Jai Maa Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College, Radhanagar. Divyanshi has now got the second position in the state. She had achieved the top position among about 22 lakh candidates in the board examination results declared on June 18.

Although Divyanshi’s twin sister Divya had got better marks than her in all subjects, she had got only 56 marks in Hindi and had failed to get a place on the merit list.

In such a situation, Divya had applied for scrutiny, the DIOS said, adding that Divya has been declared a topper now with her marks increased to 94 in the Hindi subject. Now the sum of Divya’s marks has reached 479 against her sister’s 477. The board has issued the second mark sheet by uploading the revised number on the board’s website, the DIOS added.

Conduct typewriting exam in a new pattern by Nov 13, govt told

Moreover, the pass percentage of the students has increased to above 85% after the shift to the new pattern, he added.

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday told the Director of Technical Education to conduct the government typewriting examination across the State in the new pattern on or before November 13. In the new format, Paper-II (Statement and Letter) would have to be written before Paper-I (Speed Test).

IndiaEducation Counselling

A bench, comprising justices R Mahadevan and J Sathya Narayana Prasad, passed the interim order on an appeal filed by a typewriting institute owner S Praveen Kumar against an order passed by a single judge of the court on August 2 to revert to the old pattern of examination. Hearing the appeal last month, the division bench had stayed the single judge’s order after it was claimed that suddenly changing the examination pattern to the old one would cause difficulties to the candidates.

When the case was heard on Thursday, the Special Government Pleader appearing for the technical education department, contended that almost all registered typewriting and shorthand associations in the State are in favour of the new pattern since it is more convenient for the candidates. Moreover, the pass percentage of the students has increased to above 85% after the shift to the new pattern, he added.

Since all parties agreed to have a joint meeting in the presence of the technical education director at a later date, the judges decided not to delay the examination further. The case was adjourned to November 14 for further decisions.

Teacher Recruitment 2022 Update: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Nods for 46500 Teachers Recruitment in Rajasthan

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the recruitment of 46,500 teacher posts. Under this, 21,000 posts of Level 1 posts and 25,500 posts of Level 2 will be recruited. It also includes 4,500 posts of special education teachers.

With this announcement, the process of appointment of teachers at the primary and upper primary level will start in the state. Those candidates will be appointed in Level 1 who are eligible to teach classes 1 to 6, while in Level 2 those candidates will be appointed who are eligible to teach up to class 8.

The state’s teacher candidates are seen to be upset following the Chief Minister‘s pronouncement. In actuality, 31,500 openings for teachers in Level 2, or Senior Classes, were made public for qualified candidates. Candidates are dissatisfied since the level 2 positions have been cut from 25,500 in the current announcement. These candidates had been waiting a long time for this teacher hiring.

IndiaEducation Counselling

In Rajasthan, candidates have been protesting against the hiring of teachers for a very long time. After repeated protests from the candidates, the government has accelerated the hiring process for the open teacher positions.

There will be two phases to the selecting process. The eligibility test will be administered in the first phase, and the examination will be administered in the second phase.

Approximately 32,000 instructors were hired in the state at the same time under REET 2021. The REET 2022 test received applications from over 15 lakh students. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education reportedly issued the recruitment exam’s exam syllabus as well. On the official website, candidates can examine it. The exam will last for two and a half hours.

The exam will consist of 150 questions in total. Every question will be worth two points, making the exam a total of 300 points. The applicants will receive an admit card for the exam. After it is made available, candidates can get the exam admission card from the official website. Without the admission card, no candidate will be permitted to enter the centre.

DU First Merit List 2022 LIVE Updates: Live Updates at the official website — du.ac.in

123

The Delhi University (DU) released the first merit list for admissions to undergraduate courses at 5 pm yesterday. The merit list is based on the CUET score for undergraduate admissions and is available at the official website — du.ac.in. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has asked St. Stephen’s College to follow the admission procedure prescribed by Delhi University.

IndiaEducation Counselling

The merit list for Delhi University was supposed to be released on Tuesday, but it has been pushed back to Wednesday after St. Stephen’s College filed a plea with the Supreme Court. The college is challenging the Delhi High Court’s decision not to allow interviews as part of the admissions process, arguing that interviews should be allowed along with CUET scores. The state high court had ordered the college to rely solely on CUET marks, but St. Stephen’s is asking for reconsidering that decision.

This is the first time the university is holding admission process on the basis of CUET score, which has also caused some delay in commencement of the academic year. According to the schedule released by the university, the first semester will start in November 2022 and end in March 2023. However, this change in admissions policy has caused some confusion and anxiety among potential students.
