“It’s time to provide digital skills training to every graduating student, regardless of their field of study,” said D. N. Vasuki, IT consultant and member of the board of the National Institute of Engineering in Mysuru. Speaking at the inauguration of a new digital skills initiative organized by Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions, Vasuki said that about 30 million students graduate every year from different disciplines across the country. He said it is the responsibility of educational institutions to provide these students with the skills they need to succeed in the digital economy.

In today’s climate, with the implementation of the National Education Policy and the abundance of job opportunities in the industrial and service sectors, students should learn digital skills like social media and digital marketing, business, or data analytics.”43% of the jobs available in the market are non-tech jobs, so such digital skills are essential for non-engineering graduates, whether they’re studying science, law, or pharma,” he said.

Delivering a technical talk, Ram Bhupal Reddy of MaxMunus Solutions said that maintaining a good customer relationship requires digital skills, especially in the product and service sectors. “More and more users are going online and students seeking jobs should build relevant digital competencies,” he added.

Referring to the recent surveys conducted by management consulting groups, Prof. G.L. Shekar, an educationist, said that India would be the global leader in providing a talent pool, which is estimated at 20% of the world’s working population by 2047.

Check out how the UPSC Mains 2022 General Studies Paper was and what type of questions were asked.

SSC CGL 2022 Application Process Began on September 17 2022 and Ends on October 8 2022.

On the second day of the UPSC Main exam, there were two general studies papers. General Studies Paper 2 was on Indian Polity, International Relations, and Social Justice.

Most of the questions on Paper 2 were related to recent developments and news. For example, the question about the Vice President being the ex-official chairperson of Rajya Sabha. Then there were two questions about elections, one about settling election disputes and the other about a model code of conduct.

The three questions on International Relations were also expected as one of them was on India-Srilanka relations, related to how India bailed out Srilanka in the recent economic crisis. The other conference was for BIMSTEC and the other was for I2U2, which was to be expected since the meeting took place around the time when the papers were being set.

There were also questions about inflation and unemployment, and how they hurt the vulnerable sections of society. Another topic that came up was the national commission on backward classes, which received constitutional status a few years back. The question about the Indian president and French president elected recently was interesting because the French president was also elected recently around the time the Indian president was elected, sometime in July, and as per the books, there is some similarities between the two.

CUET Result 2022: How much score is enough to get admission to Delhi University?

CUET results were out, candidates had begun to question if a 700 score out of 800 is sufficient for a seat at the DU. In earlier years, as many as nine practices mandated a minimum of 100 percent marks to take admissions to DU.

News featured image 3 4 1

CUET result being declared, students are currently eyeing the top colleges for admissions. This year, instead of class 12 marks or individual level entrances, top colleges and universities will be enrolling students via CUET scores. The NTA has sent the scores to universities and colleges at the time of the CUET result declaration. Currently, the educational institutes will complete their merit or cut-off list for admission to each class. In such a position, one of the top options for students is the University of Delhi.

Most popular among higher education institutes is Delhi University which has reportedly received over 6 lakh applications. DU is India’s biggest central university housing 80 departments. The DU offers graduation, post-graduation, Ph.D., and certificate courses. The DU has around 79 colleges, in which every year, more than 70,000 students take admissions to science, commerce, and humanities streams.
Even before the results were out, students had started to ask if a 700 score out of 800 be enough for a seat at the DU. Last year, as many as nine courses needed a minimum of 100 per cent marks to offer admissions. From BA political science to BCom to BSc computer science, cut-offs across streams were around 99 per cent till the third list.

This year, instead of 100 percent marks in CBSE, the percentile in CUET will be considered. As many as 20,000 students scored 100 percentile in CUET. Further, English has the highest number of 8,236 followed by Political Science (2,065) and Business Studies (1,669). Biology (1324), Economics (1188), and Psychology (1209). These subjects remain popular at DU as well. Thus, raising concerns over the high cut-off for admission to top colleges and courses affiliated with the varsity.
